Why should I go to an urgent care/walk-in clinic?

If you need immediate medical attention and your condition is not life threatening, Urgent Care provides quality care like an emergency room but can save you hundred of dollars. Additionally, our Urgent Care is open after business hours, including evenings and weekends. We have board-certified staff at all times with shorter wait time and no need to make an appointment.

When should I go to an urgent care/walk-in clinic?

Urgent care clinics offer many of the services you can find at a primary care physician’s office — if not more! Southfield Premier Urgent Care and Walk-In Clinic is unique in that it is led by Dr. Rafid Mansour, MD — who is Board Certified in Internal Medicine — and offers a broad array of services, which you can view here.

When should I go to the emergency room?

** In the event of a medical emergency, call 911 or head to your nearest emergency room. **

Experiencing any of the following conditions should prompt an immediate visit to an emergency room:

  • Difficulty breathing, such as shortness of breath
  • Chest pain and/or heart palpitations
  • Fainting
  • Sudden numbness or weakness
  • Uncontrollable bleeding
  • Fever with convulsions or any fever in children under 3 months
  • Confusion or changes in mental status
  • A sudden inability to speak, see, or move
  • Coughing or vomiting blood
  • Head injury
  • Blood in the urine or stool (bloody diarrhea)

Do I need to make an appointment?

What is your payment policy?

Just as at other healthcare facilities, payments/co-payments to Southfield Premier Urgent Care and Walk-In Clinic are due at the time of service. You can also now pay your bill online.

What should I bring?

  • Current insurance card
  • Driver’s license or other valid photo ID
  • A list of any prescription medications
  • A list of specialists you see
  • Your health history, including chronic conditions, illnesses, as well as previous surgeries

How long will I have to wait?

Patients visiting Southfield Premier Urgent Care and Walk-In Clinic are treated in the order in which they arrive. We do our best to see patients in a timely fashion.

What forms of payment are accepted?

We accept all major credit and debit cards, check and cash. Pay your bill online.

Who will call me regarding lab or x-ray results?

The doctor will contact you as soon as they are received.

Do you do STD testing?

Yes, we do testing for the most common STD’s.

What physical exams are offered?

We offer sport, pre-employment, and DOT (Department of Transportation) physicals.

Are you open on weekends?

Yes, we are open Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm.
